The story behind the mustache
At first glance, “Tío Bigotes” simply means “Uncle Mustache” in Spanish. But behind this playful name lies the heart of our brand — a tribute to tradition, family, and the unmistakable charm of Argentina.
Tío Bigotes is not just a fictional uncle. He’s the soul of every empanada we make. He represents the man who always had a story to tell, a recipe to share, and a twinkle in his eye. The mustache? It’s his signature a symbol of wisdom, warmth, and that unmistakable Latin flair.
When we brought our authentic Argentine empanadas to The Hague, we knew we needed a name that carried the flavor and character of our roots. And so, Tío Bigotes was born — a name you won’t forget, and a taste you’ll always crave.
